Today is National Coming Out Day, and GRiZ wants his story to encourage others to be more accepting, loving, and not be afraid.
GRiZ, the Detroit DJ and producer, opened up about his sexuality earlier this week, in an inspiring and candid op-ed published by the Huffington Post.
The telling gives intimate details of his early conflicts coping with his identity as a homosexual teen and how with time he has learned to proudly stand in the. GRiZ has also headlined sets at Electric Forest and Lightning in a Bottle, as well as his sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre double-headers inDenver for five consecutive years and counting.
In addition to mainstage performances at major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Movement and OutsideLands, this year he curated the historic SuperJam set at Bonnaroo, bringing over 25 artists together in celebration of music legends.
